Thanks to the efforts of Tim Hall and Paul Webster all four cameras are now up and running. Bird cam has now become Winterbourne cam and Pond cam is showing the bottom of the pond as opposed to the surface last year. Ditch cam is now looking south along one of the ditches and Heart of Reeds cam will improve as the water clears. Happy viewing!
Hi, Many thanks for update. My two children and I have been having fun watching the Pond cam and excited to see newts as well as a diving beetle (I think!).
Delighted – yes we are all quite excited about this camera just in case we get a male stickleback making a nest here. Time will tell but so pleased you are enjoying this.
Its great that you are having fun watching pond cam. The newts are great to watch and as John says, keep an eye out for the sticklebacks too.
Until the water settles it will be a bit cloudy. I have also seen shapes of beetles and water boatman , but sadly just too far in the murky distance to be sure what type.
The reserve is now bursting into life so do keep an eye on the other cams too.
